The P&Z approved a "south" 7-11 store at FM 741 & FM 548, in the Fox Hollow PD, and zoning changes for 29 + 57 acres on the West side of Forney.

The Forney City Council, during its Jan. 20, 2015 meeting, held four public hearings, approving rezoning for Gateway Parks at 1641 N. of Grandview, sign changes, Brooklyn Village modifications, then approved 11 more items.

The Forney Planning & Zoning commission on Dec. 04, 2014 had an overflow audience, but did not convene due to a very rare failure to muster a quorum.

The Forney EDC during its regular meeting on June 12, 2014 approved a financial incentive for Mama's Daughters Diner Forney of $35,900; reviewed a preliminary budget presented by City Manager Brooks; held executive session

During its Feb. 20, 2018 meeting, City Council heard about street-light options, MF near Kroger, brewpubs, Financial Audit, Atmos Relocation, & appointed Interim CM.

Council takes first steps on annexing land near the power plant, approves presented IT Strategic Plan, approves funding for construction at 106 E. Main, does some paperwork re: Talty WSC, hears from Mr. Austin about streets and Ms. Gamble about traffic/safety problems.
